Creative Vision Stamps Showcase: Fight Cancer

Morning crafters! I am back on the blog today to share another project featuring Creative Vision Stamps.  This set is one of my favorites.  I also used some foiling backgrounds on the project, incorporating it into my die cut! The stamps set is Fight Cancer I used the small ribbon to accentuate and stamp ,y background piece and stamped the Strength, Courage, Will circle for the sentiment! The large ribbon in the foreground is a die cut that was cut from a FOILables background from Creative Vision: Geometric 16. The heat transfer foil used was Razzle Dazzle. This is such an encouraging set and I wanted to create a bright and cheery encouragement card using it!   Thanks…

Fifty is the new F-Word! Creative Vision Showcase

Morning y'all! Back in the studio again after a couple weeks of family visiting, which was so fun but exhausting.  Today I am featuring a super fun sentiment stamp from Creative Vision Stamps - Fifty is the new F word. For the background I used several number dies to create a collage and placed the piece over top a background I created with Ken Oliver Colorburst. A simple design and I love this sentiment for the BIG 5-0!! Thanks for joining me today and REMEMBER: If you like what I created today, you can shop www.creativevisionstamps.com and use my Design Team discount code to receive 10% off your next order of $20 or more. Safari Sunset-Creative Vision Stamps Showcase

Happy crafting y'all! I am here again to share another project featuring the Creative Vision stamp sets and foilables.  I used the Foilables Toner sheets - Animals, choosing the giraffe silhouette for this project. The background for the giraffe is a watercolor made to look like a safari sunset.  I matted the entire piece onto a background I created using stencil monoprinting and some texture (Nuvo Mousse) thtough a stencil.  I thought it looked a bit like the "spots" on a giraffe. I thought this would be a great masculine birthday card so I chose one of the sentiments from the His Birthday stamp set to complete this card. Thanks for joining me today and REMEMBER: If you…

Courage-Creative Vision Stamp Showcase

Happy Tuesday crafters! I am back again today with another project featuring the fab Creative Vision Stamps and Foilables!  This was my first time using foilables and it's super fun to see the different ways one can incorporate these into projects! Today's projects uses the Monarch Butterfly stamp, Geometric Foilable 23, and a sentiment from the Courage stamp set. I started by foiling the geometric shape with the Heat Transfer Foil (Blade) using my mini Minc machine. Over top I then applied a few layers of Distress Oxide ink by applying them to my craft sheet, misting with water and swiping the background through the ink.  Once dry and satisfied with the result I applied a layer of…

Monkey Business-Creative Vision Stamps Showcase

Happy Monday y'all! I am excited to announce that I am once again designing for Creative Vision Stamps.  If you have not seen or heard of this company I encourage you to check them out.  And today I want to share a project using one of the super fun stamp sets available from Creative Vision Stamps- Monkey Business. This is such a great stamp set- so many fun cards to be made.  For my project I decided to create a background using the new Tim Holtz Planks die, cut from woodgrain paper and distressed to look like the planks from a barrel. I love the realistic wood grain look this creates. The large barrels from the set were…

Happy Easter-Knock on Wood Challenge

Hello everyone! Today I want to share my project for the Frilly and Funky Boutique challenge: Knock on Wood  and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. With all the fun Easter products that have been on YouTube and Facebook live I decided to jump in an participate also.  I started by coloring my plastic Easter eggs with alcohol ink, making faux foiled wrapped eggs, and Easter carrots using the Idea-ology Woodland Trees (all inspired by Tim Holtz's videos from this past week). I loved all of these ideas from Tim and after I created a bunch of eggs and carrots, and baby carrots I needed some way to display them...which brings me to todays project.   I started with…

Thoughts and Theories

Happy Friday all! TGIF right? I am here today to share a project that I started by challenging myself to use something in my stash that I haven't before. I also wanted it to fit into the Grunge it Up challenge from Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge group. I love coffee and I love to get inky and make things grungy so I went with a coffee themed project- and it's a canvas this time and not a card, so I can hang it in my studio!    I have definitely used the Fresh Brewed blueprints before (one of my faves) but I hadn't yet used the Sizzix Bigz die Pipeline. So I start by just creating the background…

Grunge It Up

Hello all! I am back today to share my project for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Grunge it Up!  I decided to use the Etymology stamp set again for this.  This background was created in a similar fashion as the one for my Field Notes project, except in this case I use Distress watercolor card stock instead of Distress Heavyweight card. It shows a bit less of the resist in the background as the color really soaks into the paper. I decide to use a piece of chickenwire and "grunge" it up to add behind my sentiment. To do this I painted it first with Distress ink and while still wet added Distress Embossing powder ( a combo…

Field Notes

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am here today to share my latest project for the new  Frilly and Funkie Challenge-Dare to Resist. For this project I used the new Tim Holtz Distress Resist spray and the new Tim Holtz stamp set Etymology.  This was a fun stamp set to work with. To start the background I sprayed the resist spray through a stencil from My Favorite Things and then created the colorful background with Distress Spray Stains.  The resist is apparent in the background (the white arrows) and to build upon that I used several other stencils and distress inks/oxides. I also used the script stamp from this set in the background for added texture. After creating the circles (using…

Embrace the Journey

Happy Saturday crafters! I thought it appropriate to have my first post on my new website platform to be about "the journey." Also I wanted to use my new stamp sets  from Tim Holtz-especially Theories.    I started by creating this fun background which has multiple layers. First I created a stencil monoprint using a TH stencil and Ken Oliver Colorburst powder (made into a spray in a Mini Mister). That layer is the "x's" you see in the background.  Atop that I used Nuovo metallic mousse over a TH stencil in the bottom right corner. Across the entire background I used another of the TH new stamps and also added the numbers on the left hand side…
